My favourite festival is Chinese New Year. It
comes in January or February. Before
Chinese New Year, peole can clean their houses. usually
and do a lot of shopping . On the eve of the
Chinese New Year, we have a big dinner. After
dinner, we watch TV.
How do we celebrate Chinese New Year? We
wear new and nice clothes, eat dumplings and
visit relatives. We usually have dinner at the
relatives’ house. We enjoy talking and eating.
And we can get new year’s money from them.
We are so happy! At twelve o’clock, we watch

China has many traditional festivals among the year. But I like Mid-Autumn Festival the most. It means harvest, because it is celebrated in the harvest season. And it is the time for famers to express their thanks for harvest. In addtion, it’s the day for reunion. Some people call it Tuanyuanjie. The people work or study far away from home will come back to get-together with their families. They will eat a big meal and mooncake at that time. I hate parting but love reunion.
