HALT（Highly Accelerated Life Test）的全称是高加速寿命试验，是一种试验方法（思想），采用的环境应力比加速试验更加严酷。主要应用于产品开发阶段，它能以较短的时间促使产品的设计和工艺**暴露出来，从而为我们做设计改进，提升产品可靠性提供依据。

HALT试验其实是硬件工程比较恐惧的试验：因为往往实验过程中，会出现不少问题。会有一种深陷泥潭不能自拔的感觉。

1、由于HALT试验是产品开发阶段，产品相对稳定度还不够的时间段，出问题的概率还是比较高的。

2、而且是不按照器件规格进行的试验，如果不出问题，则会一直做到试验设备的极限。直到找到产品的薄弱点，并且分析出原因，给出整改意见。直到达到现有设计的极限。
